How to Create US Itunes store account without credit card and how to redeem the gift

Important Notes:

1) Do not create an iTunes Store account until you receive an email from iTunes Store on gift

redemption.

2) Use the same email address for the gifting and creating an iTunes Store account.

3) 3) Do not use an email address that has been used to set up any iTunes Store account

other than a US iTunes Store account.

INSTRUCTION TO REDEEM YOUR GIFT FROM ITUNES

This guideline is designed for non US Archies or Archies without credit card to download gifts from iTunes.

Step by step redemption of iTunes gift:

1. iTunes is required to redeem the gift. Download iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ if

it is not set up yet.

Depending on the default setting of iTunes, the song downloaded may not be in mp3 format. If you

prefer the mp3 format, do the following steps first before redeeming the gift. On iTunes click Edit and

choose Preferences, then choose Advanced tab, then choose Importing tab, then on Import

Using choose MP3 Encoder.

2. Click Redeem Now on the gift card received via email from iTunes Store. You will be directed to your

iTunes.

3. A pop up box will appear asking you to log in. Do not log in, click on Create new account.

 Choose US iTunes store.

 Use email addresses such as abc@yahoo.com or def@hotmail.com not email addresses with a

country suffix such as abc@yahoo.com.hk or def@yahoo.com.uk, etc.

 Use a US address and telephone number to create the account. You may use any of the addresses

with their respective 3-digit area code provided by the members of www.teamarchie.com. Choose

any random 7 digits to complete the telephone number.

 Choose “None” for payment method.

4. After account is created, gift download automatically starts and the gift can be found in Store /

Purchased folder in your iTunes. Take note of your new account because this is valid for future iTunes

gift redemptions.
